Mermaid Tail Cactus - Euphorbia lactea Cristata Grafted

Introducing the Euphorbia lactea cristata grafted, a unique and fascinating grafted plant known for its distinctive crested or fan-shaped growth pattern. It is a grafting combination of the Euphorbia lactea, a columnar cactus-like succulent, and the Euphorbia cristata, which has a crested growth form. This combination creates a visually stunning and captivating plant that is highly sought after by succulent enthusiasts.  The regular Euphorbia lactea cristata has a crested growth form naturally, the grafted version is created through the process of grafting, where the crest is grafted onto the stem of the Euphorbia lactea. This grafting process results in a more pronounced and defined crested growth pattern.  The Euphorbia lactea crested grafted showcases a stunning combination of textures and colors. Its crest is characterized by wavy, undulating, or fan-shaped growth, with beautiful variegation in shades of green, white, and sometimes pink. The Euphorbia lactea cristata grafted plant can grow up to 2 feet tall and 16 inches wide.   When it comes to flowering, the Euphorbia lactea cristata grafted can produce small, inconspicuous flowers in clusters. These flowers are typically grey, pink, green, or yellowish-green in color and may appear during the summer.   To keep your Euphorbia lactea cristata grafted thriving, it's essential to provide it with proper care. This Euphorbia plant thrives in bright, indirect light, so placing it near a sunny window or in a well-lit area is ideal. It prefers well-draining soil and should be watered sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot and other issues, so it's important to err on the side of underwatering rather than overwatering. This Euphorbia succulent plant thrives in temperatures ranging from 60°F to 85°F, making it suitable for a variety of climates. You can grow them outdoors year-round in 9-11 USDA zones.
