LEC Exit Sign Single Face Battery Backup - Made in USA

LEC Exit Sign Single Face Battery Backup - Made in USA Light Emitting Capacitor (LEC) Technology LEC technology is the next generation of electroluminescent light. Replacing older lighting technologies, these lights are the safest, most dependable and most energy efficient available. The LEC lamp lights when the micro-encapsulated solid phosphors are excited by an alternating electrical current (AC). This direct conversion of electric energy to light produces no heat or ultraviolet radiation. There are four main operating components in a LEC lamp. (1) a front electrode layer, (2) a rear electrode layer, (3) a dielectric insulating layer and (4) the micro-encapsulated solid phosphor layer. When an alternating current (standard household AC) is applied to the front and rear (1 and 2) electrode layers of the lamp an electro-magnetic (EM) field is created. This EM field in-turn excites the phosphor layer (4) which produces a luminous energy. SAFEST Only light that incorporates a single purpose safety fuse LEC lamp is always cool to the touch (no heat is produced) Slim, discrete profile. Provides more light for vision than standard EL or directional LED lights Provides the best type of light for night vision Type of light produced does not penetrate the eye lid thus will not disturb vision DEPENDABLE No bulbs to replace EVER! Longest lasting nightlight available Single component design – no extra elements to fail Always on, always there when needed MOST ENERGY EFFICIENT Uses less than 3 cents of electricity per year As much as 8 times more energy efficient than a LED nightlight Over 200 times more energy efficient than a standard 7 watt nightlight FEATURES Consumes less that $0.03 of electricity per year. Less than 1/4 Watt AC Energy Draw. Uniformity is maintained throughout the 20 plus year LEC lamp life.
