It is designed for indoor safety applications such as handrail and hazard marking areas that are to remain permanently adhered to the surface. Meets UL 1994 and NYC Construction Code. ESW’s Photoluminescent tape (Glow in the Dark) absorbs ambient light and stores the energy. In the event of an emergency involving an power outage or smoke filled environment, this PL tape illuminates and provides a safe, illuminated evacuation path. Our glow in the dark tape adheres to most irregular surfaces, and will stick to painted wood, metal, sealed concrete and most nonporous materials. Existing tape must be removed first, using a heat gun to warm the existing material and then get an edge started or use scraper.
