Tamping is important in making espresso because it allows the puck to be compacted in the portafilter and remove air pockets that cause undesired channeling. This 58mm tamper has a nice, heavy feel and fits most commercial-type machines. (Check your machine specs before ordering, or call us to request an alternate size.)
