Eruptions

In Eruptions - Andrius Miezis envisions a surreal landscape where nature and imagination merge into quiet movement. Golden bulbous forms rise like molten growths from the ground, their clustered shapes glowing against a misty blue-gray background. Some seem to hover midair, as if freed from gravity, while others remain rooted in dark, fibrous trunks that pulse with hidden energy. The painting balances stillness and volatility - the forms appear both organic and alien, as if born from an unseen geological or emotional process. The soft interplay between light and depth turns the scene into a dream of quiet transformation, where eruptions are not violent but meditative, unfolding at the pace of thought. Eruptions reflects Miezis’s fascination with evolution, tension, and the unseen rhythms beneath the surface. It captures a world on the verge of becoming - not through destruction, but through an almost tender act of emergence, where energy, form, and silence coexist in a suspended breath.
