This classic caged fisherman style is constructed in smooth calfskin and named with a nod to Hemingway’s Old Man and The Sea.  Please note that these shoes are made from vachetta, a vegetable-tanned calfskin leather, and they will need to be broken in on most feet. Over time, this high-quality leather will change its shape and mold to fit your foot for optimal comfort. DETAILS Materials: Calfskin, Rectangular Nickel Half Buckle with Silver Finish. Leather Working Group certified for responsible leather production. Heel Measurement: .5"/10mm (approximately). Fits true to size. There may be a small amount of extra space at the front of these shoes. This is an intentional design element that creates a modern, elongated toe shape.
