Erin McGee Ferrell - 'Patterned IV'

"Erin McGee Ferrell’s work is large and screams to be larger. The inconsistent canvas surface moves with undulating texture, displaying vulnerable exposed ground to a confident thick stroke. Using oil, she carries story with figurative narration, recognizable yet open enough to bring one’s own interpretation. Thirty years of mastering material and technique, McGee remains un-intimidated with ferocious determination, knowing when to call a work done. Honesty of discipline and joy of play are her truths. McGee’s roots are in Kentucky with branches in Maine, grass to sea, green to blue. Cancer free and children grown, her time has arrived. One foot having always having held open the door, Erin McGee Ferrell can now fully enter the room." Medium: oil on canvas Dimensions: 10" x 10" x 0.5" Artist: Erin McGee Ferrell SKU: EMF433PNT
