Vintage: 2004 Spring Harvest Size: 50 grams Type: Ripe Pu-erh (fermented) Grade: 1-3 Production area: Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Yunnan Province Since its creation in 1976, ripe pu-erh has gained popularity among pu-erh enthusiasts as a tea that can be drunk daily. One of the reasons for its appeal is that ripe pu-erh undergoes a true fermentation process, resulting in a tea that is neither acidic nor bitter. However, achieving a well-fermented ripe pu-erh requires the expertise of a skilled and experienced tea master. Denong Tea Company has produced such a tea in this particular aged ripe Pu-erh, which is available in a collector's edition of a 2-kg bricks. The tea offers a combination of woody, herbaceous and sweet flavors. After two decades of aging, this tea has developed an incredibly clean and smooth profile with a sweet and enduring finish that lingers on the palate. We have broken the brick into 50 gram sizes for your convenience.
