End the Stigma Morse Code Bracelet

One of society's last "acceptable" forms of bigotry is mental health stigma. Mental health stigma is a particular type of ableism, a term that describes discrimination against people with disabilities, that specifies discrimination against and denigration of people who have psychiatric disorders. The World Health Organization estimates that 25% of the world population has a mental illness. They also say, "the single most important barrier to overcome in the community is the stigma and associated discrimination towards persons suffering from mental and behavioral disorders." Stigma sets people apart from others. When they are labeled by their diagnosis, they aren't seen as individuals, but as part of a stereotyped group. That leads to prejudice, which leads to negative actions and discrimination. Seventy five percent of people with a mental illness experience mental health stigma. Mental health stigma causes people with mental illness to be deprived of the opportunities that mentally healthy people are afforded, such as good jobs, safe housing, quality education, proper healthcare, and healthy friendships and relationships. Families can be impacted by stigma and lead to a lack of support & disclosure. It can prevent people from seeking treatment. This bracelet encourages people to take a stand against that bigotry and discrimination. It encourages people to say that enough is enough. The protest message of the bracelet is spelled out in Morse code. The base (or primary) color is up to you. 'Spacer' beads are gold. 'Dots' are black and 'dashes' are clear/white. If you would like to use the spacer, dot, or dash color as your base color, then I will need to know what you'd like to replace that color with for those items. The beads are strung on a stainless steel wire & the findings (clasp & crimp bead) are nickel free silver-colored metal. If you would prefer a different type of metal for the findings, let me know. The bracelet is unisex.
