EMX VMD202 Vehicle Motion Sensor (100ft Lead)

Vehicle Detection for Gate and Security Automation The EMX VMD202-100 Vehicle Motion Detector with a 100-foot lead wire offers reliable and accurate vehicle detection for automated gates, driveway exits, and security systems. Using advanced magnetic sensing technology, the VMD202-100 detects moving ferrous metal objects, like cars and trucks, within a 12-foot range at speeds as low as 5 mph. With its extended 100-foot cable and rugged, direct burial-ready design, this sensor is ideal for properties needing flexible, long-distance installations. Key Features Extended 100-Foot Lead: Designed for installations where a greater distance is needed between the probe and control unit, making it suitable for large properties or commercial settings. Precise Vehicle Detection: Accurately senses moving vehicles within a 12-foot range using magnetic field technology, minimizing false triggers. Versatile Power Compatibility: Operates on 12-39 VDC or 12-27 VAC, perfect for standard or solar-powered systems. Energy Efficient: With a low standby current of 70 µA, it’s optimized for sustainable, energy-efficient applications. Built to Last: Watertight probe with direct burial capability, constructed to withstand temperatures from -30°C to 70°C (-22°F to 158°F). Optional Sensitivity Remote: Compatible with the VMD202-R remote (sold separately) for easy sensitivity adjustments across 10 levels, stored in non-volatile memory for consistent performance. Technical Specifications Detection Range: Up to 12 feet at a minimum speed of 5 mph Power Requirements: 12-39 VDC or 12-27 VAC Current Consumption: 70 µA standby; 25 mA activated Relay Output: Form C (SPDT) 1A@24 VDC; 1A@120 VAC Operating Temperature: -30°C to 70°C (-22°F to 158°F) Probe Dimensions: 1-inch diameter, 24-inch length Cable Length: 100 feet, 5-wire direct burial PVC Conclusion For installations requiring extended reach, the EMX VMD202-100 provides unmatched performance and durability. With its 100-foot lead, this motion detector is perfect for securing driveways, gates, and exits on larger properties, allowing for flexible installation options.
