The loop is typically installed in driveways, parking lot entrances, or commercial access points near automated gates or barrier arms. It is designed to fit into saw cuts in asphalt, concrete, or tar surfaces and can also be installed under gravel or soil with proper preparation. How is the loop installed in saw cuts? Cut the surface to a depth of 1 inch and remove all debris. Place the loop into the cut, pack backer material tightly over it, and seal the cut with a high-quality sealer to protect it. How is the loop installed in new concrete slabs? Secure the loop to rebar using PVC pipe and tie wraps. Once the loop is stabilized, pour the concrete over it, ensuring the loop stays properly positioned. Can the loop be installed in gravel or soil? Yes, though it requires extra preparation. Dig a trench, place the loop at the bottom, and cover it with sand for stability. Replace the gravel or soil over the sand to finish the installation. Conclusion The EMX Lite Preformed Loop solves the common challenges of vehicle detection by providing a pre-configured, durable solution that minimizes installation time and costs. Unlike traditional loops that require intricate on-site assembly, this pre-formed loop is ready to use and integrates effortlessly with most vehicle detectors and gate operators. It ensures reliable performance in diverse environments, from residential driveways to commercial parking lots, while its lightning protection adds a layer of security not found in standard loops. Compared to other options, the EMX Lite Preformed Loop™ stands out for its durability, ease of installation, and adaptability to various applications.
