Emergency Water

Prepare for a disruption in your home water supply by learning to collect, store, and filter water using the valuable information in this guidebook from a preparedness expert, former Green Beret, and author of Herbal Medic and Survival Gardening. Whether the emergency is a power outage that makes well water inaccessible, a disruption in the municipal water system caused by a major storm, or a contamination incident that makes water undrinkable, everyone needs to know how to collect, purify, and store water for drinking and hygiene. Emergency Water teaches readers the best ways to safely store water in anticipation of an emergency (whether short term or long term), as well as how to collect water from both inside and outside the home and how to purify it. Also included is a primer on waterborne diseases and instructions for setting up home sanitation systems during an emergency. A preparedness expert and former Green Beret, Sam Coffman has taught survival skills for both urban and primitive situations for more than 25 years, including survival gardening and foraging, wilderness first aid, and post-disaster herbal medicine.
