Emergency Retainers

Emergency Retainers Get Retainers Quick! It tends to happen at the most inopportune time. You remove your retainer from your mouth, and you hear the dreaded crack. Checking to see the damage, you look and discover a large tear in the retainer making it useless. You’ve spent so much time and money working on your perfect smile but now it’s all at risk. In as little as seven days your teeth can begin to shift using their elastic memory. You need overnight retainers! There’s no way you are risking your teeth shifting after cracking or losing your retainers. You quickly search for next day retainers and next day retainers near me but none of your search results show promise. Your dentist is on vacation and won’t be able to make your expedited retainers before your teeth shift. What do you do? SportingSmiles offers rush retainers just for this dreaded occasion. You need to follow exact instructions to receive the emergency retainers within 6-7 business days. To guarantee next day delivery, the order must be placed before 2 PM CT. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday will be shipped out Monday. Holidays will also have the emergency kit shipped the next official business day. We will give you as much putty that we can fit into our impression kit (4 putty packs) You must take impressions with all of them to better the chances of you having an approved impression. You must take your impressions the same day you receive your emergency retainer kit. Not doing so voids the 6-7 business day guarantee. Once you take your impressions you must send photos of your impressions to the SportingSmiles email support at Info@SportingSmiles.com with the subject line EMERGENCY RETAINERS as soon as you email the photos, give SportingSmiles a call at 262-290-2396 to confirm we received them and have us approve the impressions over the phone. This can only be completed on a business day (Monday-Friday) and it must be done during business hours which are 8 AM – 4 PM CT. Once approved you must go to your local FedEx to send them out back to us using the return label. This must be completed the same day that your impression kit comes, along with your impressions be approved. If not sent back in this timeframe this will void the 6-7 Business Day guarantee. ** If you place an order from Hawaii or Alaska, or if your zip code (rural locations) does not support overnight shipping, you are not eligible and your emergency order will be changed to two day-shipping. ** Our emergency retainers are created from 1mm Essix plus material. Frequently Asked Questions: Is it hard to make the impressions at home? – We’ve helped thousands of people successfully make their at-home impressions using our kit. Because everyone’s mouth is different, it’s important to have an impression tray that adjusts. In 2011, we patented our adjustable tray to make it even easier to get a perfect impression. We include an extra set of impression material, just in case. You’ll want to watch the video and make sure you’ve got everything prepared properly. But in our experience, making the impression at home is much easier than scheduling an appointment, driving across town, sitting in a waiting room, and spending hundreds of extra dollars to have your orthodontist do this for you. How long does it take to get my emergency retainers? – If all instructions are followed properly and your impressions approved you will receive your emergency retainers within 6-7 business days. What if I change my mind and want to return the emergency kit? Because of the high cost of overnight shipping for the emergency kit, a $100 fee will be assessed if the kit has been sent and you wish to cancel the order. If both return labels have been used there will be an additional $70 fee assessed due to the high cost of shipping. If you want a refund during the process, make sure to call customer service who can work with you to find a solution. What if I mess up on my impression? If you can’t take an approved impression it will void the 6-7 business days of guranteeing your retainers. You may opt to receive more putty via overnight shipment but you will pay the fee of $55 or you can receive putty with FedEx 2-Day Shipping for $20. How fast do teeth shift after braces? – Teeth can begin to shift as quickly as seven days because of their elastic memory. This means that teeth will always want to return to their natural positions and without any defense against movement, teeth can begin shifting no matter how old you are or how long it’s been since your orthodontic work. Are your products BPA Free? – Yes! All our products (clear retainers, whitening trays, night guards, and mouthguards) are BPA, BPS, DEHP, and latex-free. Does Sporting Smiles accept HSA or Flex payment options? Yes! You can use your HSA card and if any special invoicing is required Sporting Smiles will work with your insurance company to complete the transaction. Teeth-grinding guards are an excellent choice to spend your HSA account on. Teeth-grinding is a serious oral health issue and without proper care or a solution can lead to expensive surgery or permanent facial reconstruction as the jaw bone shifts. Why is Sporting Smiles so much cheaper than my dentist? – To purchase a typical teeth retainer in the past, your dentist would have to take an impression at his office and send it out to a dental laboratory for construction. This requires using valuable office time which needs to be incorporated into the cost of the dental retainer. Because we operate our laboratory and are using a self-impression method we can dramatically reduce the cost of your teeth retainer. I Have a Small Mouth, Do You Have Smaller Impression Trays? – Our patented impression trays fit over 95% of our customers because they are adjustable and are designed to fit any mouth, large or small. In some rare cases, if you know you have a small mouth we do offer smaller trays. If you are in this percentile for small mouths, please contact our customer service before ordering so we can put a note on your order to send small trays. Can I Use My Own Molds To Get Retainers? – Yes! SportingSmiles accepts molds from new customers who have 3D Printed, Plaster or Stone Molds. We will accept 3D printed, plaster or stone molds if you have them and opt not to choose our impression kit but a $35 surcharge will be added to the order. When we receive your molds, they will automatically be scanned into our 3D system and saved on file for life. This means you’ll be able to reorder from SportingSmiles whenever you’d like.
