Emerald Isle Alocasia

Eye-catching Green Lends a Tropical Vibe You’ll be feeling tropical in no time when you add the Emerald Isle Alocasia to your home or landscaping. Featuring enormous, lush, glossy green leaves, these "Elephant Ears" are known for their distinct heart shape. The large foliage forms a tall, upright, arching cluster of showy bright green. This Alocasia is tolerant of both sun and shade, so it will thrive wherever it's planted. It loves humidity, so the Emerald Isle is best for climates that stay warm year-round. But don't worry - if you live in a colder climate, just keep your Alocasia in a pot and overwinter it indoors!  Add as a focal point in a garden bed, space several apart in a row for a natural hedge, or simply enjoy in a container in any indoor or patio space.  Order your Emerald Isle Alocasia today and add a tropical statement inside or out! Planting & Care 1. Planting:  Plant your Emerald Isles 4-6 inches deep in moist, well-drained soil, making sure to space them 2-4 feet apart. Indoors, you can keep your Alocasia in its nursery pot or replant into a decorative pot, using a well-draining potting mix. 2. Watering: Alocasias like moist soil but require proper drainage. Allow the soil to dry slightly in between waterings. 3. Fertilizing: Fertilizing isn't necessary, but you can feed your alocasia with an all-purpose water-soluble fertilizer (20-20-20) once a month, or give it a splash of watered-down coffee or fish emulsion.
