Embracing the Unknown

What if the thought of death wasn't one laced with fear, but with curiosity? What if you could contemplate dying not as an ending, but as another station in a never-ending journey? And what knowledge might you bring back from such a meditation?  In Embracing the Unknown, beloved Buddhist teacher Pema Chödrön explores these questions through a potent lens: The Tibetan Book of the Dead. Specifically, Pema focuses on the concept of bardo, the in-between space that opens beyond death and leads eventually into reincarnation. Discover the "Bardo of the Everyday"  The bardo is not simply a Buddhist analogue to the Christian concept of purgatory. Indeed, the state of bardo does not wait for you at some unknown moment in the future; it is already here, woven throughout the liminal spaces of our days. And when you come to understand that, enormous opportunities for awakening become available to you. Featuring more than nine hours of instruction from Pema and her trusted assistant meditation instructor Tim Olmsted, Embracing the Unknown explains both the precepts of the Book of the Dead and the lessons you can take from it into your day-to-day life. Additionally, when you sign up for this online learning experience, you'll also receive two full-length bonus programs: Robert Thurman's Liberation Upon Hearing in the Between and Pema's own Walking the Walk. Change is inevitable. Fear of change is not. Join us in Embracing the Unknown to discover why we really do need to talk about death, and thus come to appreciate the rebirth available in every single moment of life.
