Elton John Pillow

I was in high school in the late 70s. Philadelphia Freedon, Bennie and the Jets, Tiny Dancer played all day on the radio.  When I created this portrait of Elton I chose it because I was attraced to the colors.  An orange jacket and those glasses.  Look close at how I created his semi-dark glasses so that you can still see his eyes.  I love the manipulation of the fabrics that make up the brightly colored roses on his lapel.  The horizontal lines of the embroidered background add to these great textures.  Elton is quite the character!! I hope you love him and his music as much as I do! 21" square down/feather insert back is a neutral
