Elite RIO Gold XP

RIO's Elite RIO Gold XP fly line is the most versatile taper out of the RIO Gold Multi-purpose fly lines that are available today. The Elite RIO Gold XP has similar taper to the original RIO Gold that everyone knows and loves, but RIO has compressed the overall length and added some weight to the head of the Elite RIO Gold XP. This makes for a really nice casting line that blends both presentation and power, and casts great on just about any fly rod. The Elite RIO Gold XP has a long rear taper which is nice for making mends at long distances, as well as being able to false cast a long distance of line, for deadly accurate long casts, and the extra weight throughout the body of the head will help punch threw any wind that might be present. Grab an Elite RIO Gold XP and see the difference from the old RIO Gold and what it is capable of out on the water!   Here is what RIO has to say about their Elite RIO Gold XP Fly Line: With a mid-length head and half-size heavy design, Elite RIO GOLD XP is the most versatile taper in the GOLD lineup. The added “extra power” relative to classic GOLD gives it the flexibility to excel across the widest variety of techniques and casting lengths, offering truly blended performance. Thanks to its medium-long rear taper and a balanced body for improved turnover of indicators and nymphs, Elite RIO GOLD XP is at home sending drys at distance, running heavier rigs though deeper pools and making quick shots from drift boats. Elite RIO GOLD XP is still perfectly capable of delivering precise, delicate presentations, while its added weight makes the line fish and cast comfortably at shorter distances, typical of wading on smaller waters. Choose Elite RIO GOLD XP for Extra Power + Extra Versatility. Mid-length head and half-size heavy weight balances the ability to carry line against quickly loading the rod for shorter casts Medium-long rear taper maintains line control for longer presentations, both in the air as well as on the water while mending Balanced body with ample power at the front to turn over the widest range of rigs, plus enough rear power to load rods more deeply for short- to mid-length shots Mid-length front taper for increased versatility: Capable of turning over heavier rigs on shorter leaders powerfully or tiny dry flies on long leaders with finesse Elite RIO Gold XP Specs: Rio's Line Size 3wt 4wt 5wt 6wt 7wt 8wt Color 30' Head/ Weight Head/ Length Sink Rate Total Length Moss/Electric Green/Gray 110gr 40ft Float 90ft Moss/Electric Green/Gray 130gr 41ft Float 90ft Moss/Electric Green/Gray 150gr 42ft Float 90ft Moss/Electric Green/Gray 173gr 43ft Float 90ft Moss/Electric Green/Gray 198gr 44ft Float 100ft Moss/Electric Green/Gray 225gr 55ft Float 100ft
