Elijah Craig Barrel Proof C918

Experience the legendary intensity of Elijah Craig Small Batch Barrel Proof Batch C918. Uncut and straight from the barrel at a robust 131.4 proof, this exceptional Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey offers an unparalleled journey of deep, rich flavors. Tasting Notes Nose: A powerful and complex bouquet immediately greets the nose. Rich caramel and toasted vanilla are prominent, interwoven with warm baking spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. Hints of dark chocolate and dried cranberry emerge, underpinned by a subtle oak char and a delicate floral sweetness. The high proof is present but well-integrated, providing a delightful warmth rather than an ethanol burn. Palate: The palate is a full-bodied and intense experience. A burst of deep brown sugar and rich toffee coats the mouth, quickly followed by a medley of dark fruits – stewed cherries, plums, and a touch of fig. The oak influence is robust, presenting as charred wood and pipe tobacco, balanced by bright orange peel and a surprising whisper of mint. The high proof amplifies the flavors without overwhelming them, creating a harmonious and vibrant profile. Finish: The finish is exceptionally long and lingering, evolving beautifully. Sweet oak and dark chocolate persist, joined by a warming spice medley of black pepper and clove. A pleasant dryness develops, hinting at leather and seasoned wood, leaving a satisfying warmth that lingers on the chest long after the sip.
