Elevate Top A - 2 pcs

The Woud Elevate Top A dowels are basically the secret sauce that makes the whole Elevate shelving system work - these solid oak connectors with metal threading let you build custom storage configurations without needing any tools or engineering degree. What's brilliant about this approach is how the Norwegian design duo Camilla Akersveen and Christopher Konings figured out a way to make modular furniture that actually makes sense for normal people. You just stack your shelves, twist these dowels tight, and suddenly you have a shelving unit that looks intentional rather than like something you assembled in a panic from cryptic instructions. The white pigmented lacquer finish keeps the oak looking clean and contemporary while still showing off the wood grain underneath. Each shelf can handle up to 15kg, which is plenty for books, plants, office supplies, or whatever tends to accumulate in your space. The genius is in how everything's sold separately so you can start small and expand as your needs change - no commitment to some massive system that might not fit your next apartment. The dowels come in sets of two, and the metal threading means they actually stay tight instead of gradually loosening like cheaper systems tend to do. The wall-mounting bracket is included, so you can anchor the whole thing properly instead of hoping it won't tip over when you reach for something on a high shelf. Woud operates with this Danish design philosophy where furniture should solve real problems rather than just looking good in catalogs. Their founders Mia and Torben Koed spent three decades in the industry before starting fresh with this brand, focusing on pieces that work with how people actually live instead of forcing you to adapt your habits to your furniture. The brand partners with talented young designers like Akersveen and Konings who understand that the best modular systems are ones you can reconfigure on a weekend afternoon without calling in favors or renting tools from the hardware store.
