Elevate Shelf E

The Woud Elevate shelf E - Oak solves that age-old problem of wanting storage that actually adapts to your life instead of forcing you to work around it. Designed by Norwegian duo Camilla Akersveen and Christopher Konings, this modular system lets you stack, rearrange, and expand without needing a single tool - just oak veneer shelves and metal dowels that tighten by hand. What's brilliant about the concept is how each element comes boxed separately, so you can start small and add pieces over time, or completely reconfigure everything when you move apartments or your storage needs change. The clean Scandinavian lines work equally well holding books, plants, office supplies, or that random collection of stuff that accumulates in every home. The oak veneer construction gives each shelf this warm, natural feel that improves with age rather than just wearing out, and the 15kg weight capacity per shelf means you can actually use this for real storage rather than just decorative objects. The proportions are smart - deep enough to be functional but not so bulky that they dominate smaller rooms. What makes this different from typical modular furniture is how intuitive the assembly process feels; no confusing instructions or leftover hardware, just stack and tighten until it feels solid. The matt lacquered finish protects the wood while letting the natural grain show through, creating this timeless quality that won't look dated in five years. Woud operates with that distinctly Scandinavian approach where furniture should enhance daily life through thoughtful functionality rather than just looking impressive. Founded by Mia and Torben Koed, the brand draws on decades of design experience to create pieces that work with how people actually live and organize their spaces. Their collaboration with Akersveen and Konings reflects this philosophy perfectly - the Elevate system was born from the designers' own frustration with inflexible exhibition displays, proving that the best furniture often comes from solving real problems rather than just following design trends.
