Elevate Connector C - 2 pcs

The Woud Elevate Connector C transforms the simple dowel into something that's both functional hardware and a beautiful design detail in its own right. These solid oak connectors with their clean, cylindrical form become visible elements of the modular shelving system rather than hidden fasteners, creating this honest expression of how the Elevate system actually works. What's smart about designers Camilla Akersveen and Christopher Konings' approach is how they've turned the connection points into part of the aesthetic - the warm oak wood contrasts beautifully with the metal screws while maintaining that Scandinavian preference for showing rather than hiding structural elements. The fact that you get two pieces means you can start building vertically or expand an existing configuration without needing a whole new system. The real genius shows up when you're actually using these to assemble your shelving - no tools needed, just hand-tightening the wood-topped screws to lock everything in place. The solid oak construction means these connectors can handle the real-world stresses of a shelving system that gets rearranged, expanded, and loaded with everything from books to plants without loosening up over time. Each connector can support up to 15-33 lbs depending on your configuration, which covers most residential storage needs without making the system feel delicate or temporary. The modular nature means you can buy additional connectors as your space or storage requirements change, making this more of a long-term furniture investment than a fixed piece. Woud operates with this philosophy that Nordic design should be both beautiful and genuinely useful rather than just looking good in photos. Their focus on modular systems reflects founders Mia and Torben Koed's understanding that modern living requires furniture that adapts rather than demanding you reorganize your life around static pieces. The brand consistently works with designers like Akersveen and Konings who share this practical approach, creating pieces that express Danish design heritage through clean lines and honest materials while solving real problems about how people actually live and organize their spaces.
