Elephant Collection

The Lucie Kaas Elephant Collection is a timeless design, originally created in 1961 by Gunnar Flørning and Danish illustrator Harry Vedøe. The baby elephant design became instantly iconic, partly due to its appearance in children’s books illustrated by Vedøe. Each piece in the collection is crafted from natural materials, showcasing unique variations in wood grain and color. Since wood is a living material, it will change color over time. To preserve its beauty, we recommend avoiding direct sunlight and occasionally changing the placement of these wooden animals around your home. Each figure in the Lucie Kaas Elephant Collection is a fine example of expert craftsmanship, highlighting the natural beauty of materials such as rubber wood and smoked oak. Furthermore, the subtle variations in wood grain and color ensure that each piece is truly one-of-a-kind. These natural features are part of the product’s charm, adding character and warmth to any space. To maintain the integrity of your Lucie Kaas Elephant figure, it is best to keep it in indirect sunlight and rotate its position every so often, preserving its elegance for years to come.
