The Electrolux WellQ7 is a two-speed cordless stick vacuum that pulls apart in the middle: leave the wand and the powered floor head on the floor, and the section in your hand becomes a real handheld for the stairs, the sofa and the car. It runs on a 22-volt lithium battery, lights the floor ahead of it with LED lamps in the nozzle, steers a full 180 degrees around furniture, and has a foot pedal that frees the brushroll so you can pull the wrapped hair off it in about a minute. It stands up on its own, so it does not have to lean against a wall. Read the run time properly before you buy The 50 minutes everyone quotes is on low speed. On high speed the WellQ7 runs for 14 minutes. That is Electrolux’s own published figure, not ours, and it is normal for every cordless stick vacuum at this price — but nobody prints it in large letters. Low speed is genuinely enough for hard floors and everyday pickup on rugs. If you plan to clean a whole carpeted house on full power in one go, a cordless machine of any brand is the wrong tool and you want a corded upright instead. What it is good at It splits into a handheld The middle section lifts out and becomes an “integrated hand unit” — Electrolux’s own term. Motor, battery and dust cup all come with you, so it is a proper handheld and not a stick vacuum you have to carry sideways. BrushRoll Clean pedal Hold the pedal down with your foot for three seconds, then lift the brushroll out and pull the hair off. No screwdriver, no cutting at it with scissors, no coins of matted hair left behind the bristles. LED lights in the nozzle Two lamps in the front of the floor head. Under a bed or a dining table this is the difference between thinking a floor is clean and seeing that it is not. 180 degree steering The head turns as far as your wrist does, so you steer around a chair leg instead of backing up and going again. On open hard floor this is most of what makes a stick vacuum pleasant. It stands up by itself Self standing, so it does not slide down the wall and hit the baseboard while you move a chair. The charging stand keeps it upright and charged in a closet corner. Bagless, and quiet for the type Cyclonic separation into a 0.3 liter cup you tip into the trash. 79 dBA, which is ordinary for a cordless stick and quieter than most full size uprights. What comes in the box WellQ7 cordless stick vacuum in Denim Blue, model EHVS35S2AD Motorized multi-surface bristle floor nozzle, 10 inch cleaning path, with LED lamps Charging stand and power adapter Telescoping reach tool, for the top of the drapes and the back of the refrigerator Small dusting brush 22 volt lithium-ion battery, fitted Two year limited warranty from Electrolux Clearing the brushroll — the whole job This is the feature worth knowing how to use, because it is the one that keeps a cordless vacuum picking up in year three instead of year one. Stand the vacuum on the floor head and hold the BrushRoll Clean pedal down for at least three seconds. Take the nozzle off the wand. Turn the locking collar on the side of the nozzle to unlock, and pull the brushroll straight out. Pull the hair and fibers off it by hand, drop them in the trash, and slide the brushroll back in. Give it about five minutes before you run the vacuum again, so the motor cools. Honest note about the filter The WellQ7 has a five step system — cyclone, a two layer washable foam filter, an E10 exhaust filter and a mesh cone. That is good filtration for a bagless stick vacuum, and the foam washes out under the tap. It is not a HEPA vacuum, and Electrolux does not call it one. If somebody in the house has asthma or a serious dust allergy, the sealed HEPA machines are the ones to look at — the Simplicity S67 is the same money with a true HEPA filter, and the Miele TriFlex HX2 is the step up. Call or text 888-565-6163 and we will tell you plainly which one suits the house. WellQ7 or Simplicity S67 — the same money, two different machines Electrolux WellQ7 $299.00 Best for long hair and pets Simplicity S67 $299.99 Run time, low speed 50 minutes 35 minutes Run time, full power 14 minutes Not published Filtration 5 step, E10 exhaust filter HEPA media, 99.97% at 0.3 microns Speeds 2 — low and high 3 — eco, boost and turbo Clearing hair off the brushroll Foot pedal releases it, no tools By hand, cut it free Battery 22 volt, 4.5 hour recharge 25.9 volt Buy the WellQ7 if the thing that annoys you about vacuuming is hair wrapped around the brush — long hair, a dog, a cat — because the pedal turns a ten minute job with scissors into a one minute job with your hands. Buy the S67 if somebody in the house has allergies, because a true HEPA filter is the one thing the Electrolux does not have and cannot be added. Who this is right for, and who it is not Right for Hard floors, tile, low pile carpet and area rugs. Apartments and one floor homes. A second vacuum kept upstairs so nobody has to carry the big one. Kitchens, stairs, the car, and a house where somebody sheds a lot of hair. Not right for Deep plush carpet through a whole house — a cordless machine at any price runs out before you finish, and a corded upright cleans it better. Also not the machine for a serious allergy household, because it is not sealed HEPA. On low speed, yes — that is Electrolux’s own figure. On high speed it is 14 minutes. Low speed is plenty for hard floors and for everyday pickup on rugs; high is for a ground-in spot or a heavy rug, and you use it in bursts rather than for the whole house. Is the WellQ7 a HEPA vacuum? No. It has a five step system with an E10 exhaust filter, which is good filtration for a bagless stick vacuum but is not HEPA and Electrolux does not call it HEPA. For an allergy household look at the Simplicity S67 or the Miele TriFlex HX2. Does the handheld part really come off? Yes. The middle section, which holds the motor, the battery and the dust cup, lifts out and works on its own with the dusting brush or the reach tool. It is not a case of carrying the whole stick around at an angle — the wand and floor head stay behind. How do I get the hair off the brushroll? Hold the BrushRoll Clean pedal down with your foot for three seconds, take the nozzle off the wand, turn the collar on the side to unlock, and pull the brushroll out. Pull the hair off by hand, put it back and give it five minutes before you run it again. Can I wash the filters? The two layer foam filter washes out under the tap — let it dry all the way through before you put it back, which takes about 24 hours. The pleated E10 exhaust filter is a replacement part, not a washable one. Both come in Electrolux filter set ELPAVAF45. Call or text 888-565-6163 and we will get you a set. Will it clean deep plush carpet? It will pick up what is sitting on top of it, and the powered brushroll helps. It will not pull ground-in dirt out of thick pile the way a corded upright does, and on a whole house of plush carpet the battery will run out before you finish. On hard floors, tile, low pile and area rugs it is genuinely good. Is there a spare battery? The pack is removable, but Electrolux does not sell a spare battery to the public as a stocked part in the way Hoover does with its ONEPWR range. If you need two batteries so somebody can keep going while one charges, tell us before you order and we will point you at a machine built for that. How long is the warranty and who handles it? Two years limited from Electrolux. We are here for the whole of it — call or text 888-565-6163 and we will sort out the claim rather than sending you to a phone tree. There is a Pet version of this same machine The Electrolux WellQ7 Pet is $329 in shale gray. It is the identical vacuum — same battery, same run time, same filters, same floor head — with one extra tool in the box: a motorized PetPro+ nozzle that drives a spinning brush across couch cushions, car seats and pet beds. If hair ends up on your furniture rather than only on the floor, the extra $30 is worth it. If it does not, this one is the right buy. If your home is mostly hard floors There is a third WellQ7: the WellQ7 Hard Floor at $369, in soft sand. It arrives wearing a soft PowerPro roller made for wood, tile and vinyl — it sweeps fine dust and big crumbs in the same pass instead of flicking them across the room — and the standard bristle carpet nozzle comes in the box with it. Two complete floor heads, one machine. If you are on hardwood most of the day, that is the one to look at.
