The new EMC 1 MKV builds upon this legacy and refines by using a new drive unit. Yet silver disc collectors will find their library is in very safe hands, as this fifth-gen flagship makes CDs sound thrillingly musical, and does so from a glamorous, well-engineered machine that's a real pleasure to use." - Mark Craven EMC 1 MKV - 5 HEARTS AWARD - Read More "Built like the proverbial brick outhouse, the toploading CD player (EMC1 V) from Norwegian company Electrocompaniet proves that the CD format still has a lot of life left in it. The sound isn’t flashy or attention-grabbing but draws you into the music and you want to just continue to listen to CD after CD..
