Electrified Horizon (1 of 25 Limited Edition)

The Story Two lightning bolts striking behind a historic brick home on the shore of Piney Point Creek under a dramatic, heavy shelf cloud at twilight. The Location Piney Point Creek is a quiet tributary of the Potomac in St. Mary's County — the kind of place where historic homes line the shore and storms arrive with dramatic authority. When a shelf cloud rolls in over the creek, the lightning illuminates a landscape that hasn't changed much in a century. Artist's Perspective "I was watching this shelf cloud roll in from across the creek and knew the lightning would follow. The historic home on the shore gives it human scale — this isn't some abstract weather event, it's a storm bearing down on someone's home. That's what makes Chesapeake storms feel personal." — Ryan Lott Curator's Recommendation The panoramic format makes this piece ideal for wide wall spaces, above a sofa or credenza.
