The Electric Eel Wheel Fold is the e-spinner that packs flat: 3.3 inches folded, 3 lb, and 3,000 RPM at the top of the line. One dial sets the speed, a tap on the foot switch starts it and another stops it, and a display shows the flyer RPM, so you can go back to the same number every session. The motor is closed-loop: it reads the flyer speed and corrects it as the load changes, so the number on the display is the number you're spinning at. As shipped the dial runs 0 to 1,550 RPM, which covers most spinning. A second profile opens it to 3,000 for cotton, cashmere, yak and laceweight. Bobbins change in seconds Fold the rear maiden back, lift the tension string off, and the bobbin slides off the back of the flyer. The next one goes on the same way.
