Eibach Helper Coil Spring | 2.43in Diameter | 2.95in Tall

Eibach ERS Helper Spring – 2.43in OD – 2.95in Length – 11lb/in Spring Rate – High-Tensile Steel – Black Powder Coat Fine-tune your coilover suspension with the Eibach ERS Helper Spring (Part #HELPER60) — a precision-engineered component designed to maintain consistent spring seating and optimize suspension travel during full droop. Built from Eibach’s proprietary high-tensile spring steel and finished in a durable black powder coat, this helper spring provides the reliability, consistency, and lightweight performance demanded by professional suspension tuners and racers. Helper springs are a crucial part of any advanced coilover or dual-spring system. They ensure that your main spring remains properly seated and tensioned even when the suspension is unloaded, preventing clunking, binding, and premature wear. Eibach’s ERS Helper Spring series sets the benchmark for precision, durability, and long-term performance. Maintain Perfect Spring Tension and Suspension Control In high-performance suspension systems, maintaining preload and proper spring alignment through the full stroke of suspension travel is critical. The Eibach HELPER60 spring ensures your main spring stays seated under all conditions — from full compression to complete droop. Performance Benefits: Maintains Spring Position: Keeps the main spring seated and properly tensioned when the suspension unloads. Improves Ride Consistency: Ensures linear behavior through the full compression/rebound cycle. Eliminates Clunking or Rattle: Prevents spring slack or noise under low-load conditions. Enhances Suspension Longevity: Reduces stress on perches, collars, and spring ends. Whether you’re dialing in off-road suspension travel or maximizing track grip, Eibach’s helper spring technology delivers consistency where it matters most. Flat-Wire Construction for Maximum Stroke and Minimum Height Unlike conventional round-wire springs, the Eibach HELPER60 uses a flat-wire design that delivers maximum compression and travel with minimal block height. This unique geometry allows the helper spring to collapse almost completely flat under load — occupying just 0.49" when fully compressed. Key Specifications: Free Length: 2.95 in (75 mm) Inside Diameter: 2.36 in (60 mm) Spring Rate: 11 lb/in (19.6 N/mm) Block Height: 0.49 in (13 mm) Travel: 2.36 in (60 mm) Weight: 0.29 lb (0.13 kg) This compact design ensures seamless integration into tight coilover assemblies while maintaining smooth, progressive load characteristics. Precision-Engineered for Professional Suspension Systems The Eibach ERS Helper Spring series is built to the same rigorous standards as their championship-winning race springs. Each unit is precision-formed, heat-treated, and shot-peened to ensure exacting tolerances, superior fatigue resistance, and consistent performance across repeated compression cycles. Engineering Highlights: High-tensile chrome-silicon spring steel construction CNC cold-wound for dimensional precision Pre-set and pre-stressed to prevent settling or sag Shot-peened and heat-treated for maximum fatigue life Powder-coated black finish for corrosion resistance Eibach’s advanced manufacturing process guarantees every spring performs to specification — race after race, mile after mile. The Science Behind Helper Springs Helper springs differ from tender springs in both function and behavior. While tender springs contribute to total spring rate and progressive response, helper springs are designed solely to maintain spring preload and position. When the suspension compresses, the helper spring fully compresses into a flat coil stack and becomes inactive — allowing the main spring to control damping and rate. As the suspension extends, the helper re-expands, keeping tension on the main coil to prevent it from unseating. Key Benefits in Suspension Dynamics: Maintains consistent spring stack geometry. Prevents lateral motion and seat misalignment. Ensures smooth transition from full droop to compression. Eliminates coil chatter in multi-rate systems. This makes the HELPER60 indispensable in dual-spring coilover configurations, particularly in motorsport and off-road applications with high suspension travel. Designed for Compatibility and Integration The Eibach HELPER60 is compatible with a wide range of performance coilover setups and fits most 2.36” ID coil springs, including Eibach’s ERS Main Springs, Couplers, and Isolators. Common Use Cases: Coilover kits for off-road UTVs, desert trucks, and SXS applications Road-course and autocross race cars Street coilover conversions and track builds Long-travel or high-articulation suspension systems When paired with an Eibach Coupler Spacer and Spring Isolator, the HELPER60 delivers seamless spring motion and preload management. The result is unparalleled reliability and predictability across demanding environments — from Baja desert stages to time-attack competition circuits. Quality You Can Count On: Certified ISO 9001:2015 manufacturing Individually load-tested for rate accuracy Tolerances within ±2% of rated spring rate Lifetime guarantee against breakage or material defects Eibach’s reputation for excellence isn’t built on claims — it’s built on performance. Installation Overview Installing the Eibach HELPER60 is straightforward and requires only basic coilover disassembly. Steps: Remove spring from the coilover assembly. Install the helper spring beneath or above the main coil (depending on design). Use an Eibach coupler spacer or isolator to separate spring ends. Reassemble and torque to manufacturer specifications. Recheck preload and ride height after initial setup. 💡 Pro Tip: Pairing your helper spring with an Eibach Isolator prevents friction noise and prolongs the life of both springs under high-frequency motion. Ideal for Performance Builders and Fabricators The HELPER60 offers flexibility and control for tuners and fabricators building bespoke suspension systems. Whether you’re engineering coilovers for an off-road UTV, a road-race chassis, or a custom street performance setup, this spring gives you the adjustability and reliability needed for professional-level precision.
