Egyptian Miniature Architectural Artifact

A fabulous steatite representation of an ancient Egyptian pillar with a lotus bud cap, a symbol of creation and rebirth and made possibly as a votive offering, a talisman.  The amulet was already drilled so it was meant to be worn and/or secured to something like a textile.  We wove the very fine and supple cord through the hole to be worn and loved again. One of a kind Pendant: 3.15 x 0.59″ Cord length: 23.5″   A note about our woven cords.  We weave these by hand, every one of them.   Like all Jewels’ work no two are exact, as each of us.  The work is labor intensive.  When warmed to the skin the cord becomes more supple, conforms to the wearer, hangs at it should; the necklace transforms more than just a necklace.  It becomes her or him.
