Eefje Dahlia

The Eefje Dahlia is a premium collarette variety distinguished by its 5-inch petals in deep raspberry tones layered over a delicate pink collar and golden-yellow center. This vigorous cultivar reaches 5 feet in height, providing substantial presence in garden beds and exceptional longevity as a cut flower. A reliable performer for serious dahlia enthusiasts seeking architectural form and sophisticated color contrast. How To Plant Dahlias To get your dahlias started, pick a sunny spot with soil that drains well. Dig a hole, lay the tuber flat, and cover it with soil about 3 inches deep. Hold off on watering for now. Once you spot some sprouts and a few leaves, it’s time to water, but keep it gentle to prevent root rot. It’s a smart  to put the stake next to the tuber at the same time of planting, so you don’t accidentally damage it later on. As the season goes on, give your dahlias some love with fertilizer and insect sprays to help them bloom beautifully and grow strong. In the fall, dig up the roots and store them over winter.
