Eden Silk Scarf

The Arab-Norman Middle Ages in Sicily, with a paradise far more real than we ever imagined. Or desired. The merging of Norman, Byzantine, Latin, and Arab cultures in the Arab-Norman civilization was a product of the Norman conquest of the former Emirate of Sicily and North Africa from 1061 to around 1250. This resulted in a cultural and scientific exchange, facilitated by the Normans' tolerance towards the Latin and Greek Christian communities and Arab Muslim settlers. Sicily served as an intersection for the cross-cultural interaction between Norman and Latin Catholic, Byzantine–Orthodox, and Arab–Islamic cultures.
