Echinodorus Red Phoenix

Echinodorus Red Phoenix is a variety of Amazon Sword native to South America. With nicknames like Red Phoenix Sword, it is a popular sword plant thanks to its rich color palette, consisting of deep green to reddish tones. Like other Echinodorus species, this aquarium plant is extremely resilient, making it a solid pick for novice aquascapers or aquarium hobbyists just getting into planted tanks. To bring out more ruby tones, inject CO2, intensify lighting and supplement with quality aquatic plant fertilizer. However, this is all optional! Amazon Sword plants are well-loved for their adaptability and are also brilliant in Wabi Kusa style setups and low tech tanks. In these environments, the leaves tend to be firmer with a primarily green color palette. Overall, this is a versatile choice for any aquascape and friendly to all skill levels.
