Echinodorus Peruensis

Adding a SubstrateSource Amazon Sword (Echinodorus bleheri) to your freshwater aquarium helps create a natural look for your tank. This plant is known for it's bright green color and bold appearance. As it grows, this plant helps purify your water by absorbing nitrate nutrients. This plant can be grown with moderate light fully submersed under water. We like to position our Amazon Swords towards the back of the aquarium where they can take advantage of deeper substrate and grow out to their full potential as a background plant. Potted plants are grown in 2-inch slotted or mesh plastic pots. The pots are made out of recycled plastic. Potted plants are grown without soil in rockwool media. The rockwool media allows the plants to grow in a clean, soil-free environment, ready to ship. To prepare your plant for the aquarium, first gently remove the pot. SubstrateSource Plant Guide: A plant guide is included with this plant. Amazon Sword Bleheri is very common in the aquarium hobby, as they offer excellent and attractive coverage to the background of an aquascape. Amazon sword plants can get very large, making them a great fit for a larger tank. With a nutrient rich substrate these plants will tolerate most lighting conditions, but moderate to high lighting is ideal. CO2 injection is not necessary but will help the plant grow faster if desired. Amazon sword plants will grow submersed or emersed. Emersed plants produce lovely white flowers. SubstrateSource carefully conducts thorough inspections on every plant prior to shipment and ensures secure packaging for safe delivery.
