EAT - Jo No. 5.1

EAT - Jo No. 5.1 Moving Coil Cartridge European Audio Team's (E.A.T.) Jo No. 5.1 is an upgraded, higher-end iteration of the original Jo No. 5 Moving Coil (MC) phono cartridge. The 5.1 version offers noticeable refinements in precision, tracking, and detail retrieval while maintaining the rich, organic, and dynamic sound signature that made the 5.0 a standout. Upgrades and differences between the two models include: Body & Manufacturing: The Jo No. 5.1 features a completely redesigned cartridge body and stylus guard. While the original 5.0 was based on an Ortofon Quintet body platform hidden by a shell, the 5.1 utilizes Polyamide crafted via an advanced Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) additive manufacturing process. Aesthetics: Both retain the unmistakable, bold E.A.T. "mint green" (or teal) styling, though the 5.1 has a sleeker finish and is slightly heavier to accommodate the updated body material. Stylus & Cantilever: Both models use a Nude Fine Line stylus affixed to an aluminum cantilever. However, the 5.1 features revised coil windings and an updated suspension design that results in better channel separation and lower distortion.
