Eastern Half Shell Oysters

Virginica oysters (Crassostrea virginica), also known as eastern oysters, are the classic East Coast oyster, medium-sized, beautifully balanced, and endlessly approachable. Ours are harvested from the Atlantic waters off the Delaware coast and shipped straight to your door. Serve them fresh on ice with a squeeze of lemon and a dab of mignonette, or fire up the grill and let them bubble in their own liquor with garlic butter. Baked, broiled, or Rockefeller-style, they hold their texture beautifully and soak up whatever you throw at them. On top of being delicious, oysters are great for you!  They are naturally rich in zinc, iron, vitamin B12, and omega-3s, with lean protein and barely any calories. Note:There is a risk associated with consuming raw shellfish. If you have chronic illness of the liver, stomach, or blood or have immune disorders, you are at greater risk of serious illness from raw shellfish and should eat Shellfish fully cooked. If unsure of your risk, consult a physician.
