Small tabletop swing mirror mounted in a turned wooden frame with shaped feet and side supports. The arched mirror plate pivots within its frame, allowing for adjustable viewing angles, while the turned uprights and stretcher reflect traditional late 19th-century furniture forms scaled down for dressing table or washstand use. The wood retains a deep, warm patina with visible age and handling, and the compact proportions suggest it was intended for personal grooming in a bedroom or chamber rather than as a purely decorative object. Tabletop mirrors of this type were commonly produced by American furniture makers and small workshops around the turn of the 20th century, when personal grooming furniture became standard in middle-class homes and emphasized craftsmanship, durability, and restrained ornament. Minor desilvering is present on the mirror glass, most noticeable toward the lower edge. Light surface wear and finish loss to the wood consistent with age and use. The frame is structurally sound, and the mirror remains firmly seated and functional. 6" W x 9.5" H x 4.25" D MM - 18471 - 122325 For information regarding shipping, please visit our Terms & Conditions page here.
