Earl Grey Tea from the Brachiosaurus Bergamot

The Legend of Brachiosaurus Bergamot Loose Leaf Flavored Tea: Ceylon OP, Bergamot Essential Oil, Cornflowers: Our foragers have excavated the finest Ceylon OP "Old-Growth" leaves, layering them with the zest of prehistoric bergamot and bright blue cornflowers that look like tiny blossoms from a Cretaceous meadow. It’s a botanical discovery that belongs in a museum, but tastes better in a mug. Notes: Orange, Floral, Malt: Take a deep breath of the ancient air. You’ll catch the citrusy scent of sun-ripened orange groves, followed by a floral bouquet that would attract a Pterosaur from miles away. It finishes with a sturdy, malty backbone—as solid and grounding as a fossilized footprint. Scoring: High Astringency, High Body, Medium Sweetness: This isn't a timid brew; it has a High Body that carries the weight of a thirty-ton herbivore. The High Astringency provides a sharp, raptor-like bite that cleanses the palate, while the Medium Sweetness offers a nectar-like finish that lingers like a peaceful afternoon in the ferns. A Timeless Blend for Daily Migration: Just as the herds have moved across the plains for eons, this Earl Grey remains an apex blend. Whether you enjoy it "loner-style" like a wandering T-Rex or soften it with a splash of "mammal milk" and sweet cane for a London Fog, it’s a versatile companion for any era. The Ritual (Brewing Method): To awaken the dormant flavors, submerge 2.5g of leaves in 12oz of 195°F water—hotter than a geothermal vent but cooler than a lava flow. Let it steep for 5 to 10 minutes (roughly the time it takes a Diplodocus to finish its lunch) to ensure the full profile is fully unearthed. The Brachiosaurus Bergamot Steeping Expedition To unearth the full potential of this towering classic, you must follow the precise geological timeline of the brew. Don't rush the process—greatness takes eras to form! 1. Prepare the Watering Hole Begin by heating your freshwater until it reaches a rolling boil, then let it settle to 195°F. You want the water hot enough to trigger a flavor eruption, but not so volcanic that it scorches the delicate blue cornflowers. 2. Scout Your Specimen Measure out 2.5g of loose leaf (roughly one rounded teaspoon) for every 12oz of water. Think of these leaves as rare artifacts; they need space to expand and breathe, much like a Brachiosaurus stretching its neck toward the highest canopy. 3. The Deep Sleep (The Steep) Submerge the leaves and set your prehistoric hourglass for 5 to 10 minutes. A 5-minute steep yields a light, floral "hatchling" brew. A 10-minute steep unearths the full, "alpha-predator" strength of the malt and bergamot. 4. Filter the Fossil Record Once the time has passed, strain the leaves from the liquid. Leaving them in too long can lead to a "bitter extinction" event—and nobody wants an over-astringent cup. 5. Choose Your Evolutionary Path The Lone Wanderer: Sip it black to appreciate the citrusy orange and floral notes in their purest form. The Herd Favorite: Add a splash of milk and a dash of honey to create a "London Fog" thick enough to hide a Diplodocus.
