E3D Spare Nozzle (v6)

In stock, ready to ship. Bringing together community feedback and our extensive testing, we have redesigned our nozzles from the ground up. The new internal geometry of v6 nozzles is optimized to reduce back-pressure, this ensures smooth, easy flow of filament whilst improving the effectiveness of retractions. The bottom flat surface of the nozzle which flattens down the layer is custom to each nozzle size, for small nozzles a small nozzle tip gives you high precision. On the larger nozzles, a nozzle tip assists in the smooth printing of larger layers.  Brass nozzles are CZ121 alloy. Stainless nozzles are 303SS alloy.  We are proud to be a US distributor for E3D.   All nozzles in the series are now individually identifiable with markings on the flats of the hex head making them even more convenient to work with. See the table below for more information on what these markings mean: Nozzle Fun Packs Includes 0.25/0.30/0.35/0.50/0.60/0.80mm nozzles and a flat nozzle wrench. Compatibility v6 Nozzles are backwards compatible, so can be used to upgrade your v4/v5 HotEnd. If you are using a v6 HeatBreak it is recommended that you use a v6 Nozzle. Compatible with Lite6 and all other E3D HotEnds except Cyclops. Regarding Stainless Nozzles: These are made of 303 Stainless Steel. These are not superior in performance to our brass nozzles, and will in fact give you ever so slightly lower printing speeds. These nozzles are exclusively for use with highly specialized materials that may corrode brass nozzles, or for applications where the tiny amount of lead present in the brass nozzles is not acceptable. Regarding Hardened Nozzles: If you print carbon fibre filled, or other abrasive materials this is the nozzle you need! Carbon-filled filaments will cause rapid and significant damage to standard nozzles. Don’t fear, however! We’ve developed these new, incredibly wear-resistant nozzles that basically eliminate wear. A standard E3D-v6 Brass nozzle will be significantly worn by printing just 250g of carbon fibre material, that means you could get through 3 nozzles with a single spool of material! However, these new nozzles will not wear out, even in extended use with very abrasive materials. You can read more about it in E3D's blog post. Paying a little extra for a hardened, wear-resistant nozzle makes both practical and economic sense. By the time you’ve printed a single spool of abrasive filament you’re saving money. It also saves a lot of time as you won’t be constantly replacing worn-out nozzles. Furthermore, you’ll be future-proofed for upcoming materials, we think these nozzles should be able to handle just about anything the material manufacturers think of next.  Because of the thermal and chemical treatment applied to the nozzle they do have a bit of a dark, sometimes uneven looking coloration and surface finish, and there can be a small amount of residue on the nozzles despite our final cleaning process. The coloration variance is normal and doesn’t affect function, any residue left on the nozzle will quickly be flushed in the first few millimeters of extrusion, especially if you flush it out with an abrasive filled material! Regarding Copper Nozzles: These nozzles are engineered for ultimate high-temperature performance. Made from a special high-temperature copper-alloy with a softening point of well above 500C, and much-increased thermal conductivity these copper nozzles are perfect for high-temperature applications while working perfectly with everyday filaments like PLA, ABS, and spoolWorks EDGE. In addition to high-temperature performance these blocks have advanced nickel-based plating, this plating considerably reduces the adhesion of plastic to the nozzle. This is great for everyday filaments keeping things clean and shiny but is particularly important at temperatures above 300C where a silicone sock can't be used. Combine with our plated copper blocks for the ultimate extrusion pairing. Copper has more than 3x the thermal conductivity of brass, and the copper alloy we use has been hardened and treated to reduce the oxidation that occurs in copper at high temperatures. The higher specific heat (thermal mass) will very slightly increase your heat-up times and can provide tighter temperature control. This copper-alloy is very temperature resilient, and will not start to soften or anneal until way beyond 500°C, making it perfect for the high-temperature printing that other nozzles can't handle.
