Diana Carnelian Shell Cameo Earrings in 14 Karat Yellow Gold

A figure from Roman mythology, the artistic subject of these lyrical cameo earrings, "Diana", is the Roman goddess of nature, fertility and childbirth. An intense interest in Greco-Roman culture and art during the Victorian era in England and America made mythological subjects an extremely popular theme for cameo jewelry. Diana is usually portrayed as the goddess of the hunt as depicted in these lovely earrings. Meticulously hand engraved in exquisite detail, these romantic carnelian shell cameos are set in 14K yellow gold bezel oval frames and feature secure lockback 14K earwires. Signed on the back by Borriello, these wonderful cameos each measure 14 mm high and come with a certificate of guarantee from the artists at their origin in Torre del Greco, Italy. These enchanting cameo earrings are ideal to collect and wear as an heirloom to add to your fine estate jewelry collection, and are sure to be a conversation piece for generations.
