PHILIPSBORNITE MAGIC OUT OF CONGO

PHILIPSBORNITE MAGIC OUT OF CONGO… Absolutely wild and increasingly sought-after Philipsbornite from the famed Yanga Koubenza quarries, M’fouati, Republic of Congo (Brazzaville). Pieces with this level of saturated electric blue color and botryoidal texture are becoming seriously hard to source—especially aesthetic miniatures that display this much contrast and sculptural character. The surface is loaded with tight bubbly formations and layered growth, giving it that almost alien-looking texture collectors go crazy for. The mix of deep cobalt-blue tones melting into icy turquoise zoning makes this one stand out instantly in a case. Philipsbornite itself is an exceptionally rare lead-iron arsenate mineral, and quality specimens from Congo have developed a strong following among serious micromount and rare-species collectors over the last several years. High-grade examples rarely surface in quantity, and when they do, the best colored pieces disappear fast into advanced collections. One of those species that checks every box: Rare species Elite color Aesthetic form Collector demand Congo continues to produce some of the most visually insane secondary minerals on Earth… and this is a perfect example.
