Features: Pure Dutch White Clover Seeds: Our non-GMO organic-coated Dutch White Clover (Trifolium repens) seeds come in a compostable craft pouch, ensuring a pure and high-quality product without grass seed fillers. Ultimate Drought Tolerance & Heat Resilience: Features broad leaves that effectively shade the ground, keeping it cooler and moist. This helps prevent your grass from dying during harsh mid-summer heat waves, making your lawn exceptionally drought tolerant and resilient. Natural Weed Control: Actively crowds out unwanted weed seedlings, reducing the need for manual weeding or harsh chemicals. Natural Nitrogen Fixer: Fixes atmospheric nitrogen directly into the soil, significantly reducing or eliminating the need for synthetic lawn fertilizers. Continuous Blooms for Pollinators: Produces beautiful white flowers (often with a touch of pink) from May to October, creating a vital nectar and pollen source for our friendly pollinators. Simply mow off browned flower heads, and new blooms will emerge in early autumn! Low Maintenance Champion: Leads to significantly less mowing and watering. Once established, your flowering lawn will require minimal irrigation, typically only during extended drought periods. Versatile Growth: Thrives in USDA Hardiness Zones 3-9, growing beautifully in full sun to shade and adapting to a wide range of soils, from sandy to loam to clay. Family & Pet Friendly: Our specialty flowering lawn seed is safe for your entire family, allowing kids and pets to enjoy your outdoor space worry-free. Benefits: Imagine enjoying a vibrant, healthy lawn that practically cares for itself, saving you significant time, money, and effort! The Dutch White Clover Seed offers a powerful solution that reduces your carbon footprint by minimizing mowing, watering, and chemical use. You'll delight in a lush, green lawn that supports biodiversity, naturally suppresses weeds, and remains vibrant even in summer heat. This investment in a sustainable gardening future enhances your property's beauty, boosts its ecological value, and moves you closer to a net-zero lifestyle.   What To Expect When Using Flawn Seed: With consistent watering, Dutch White Clover will germinate in 1-2 weeks (when soils are at least 50-60 degrees), and plants will be small for the first couple of months. After the first growing season, it will bloom low-growing white flowers with a touch of pink (about 2-4” tall) from May to October. Watering regularly after seeding and through dry periods is critical for success. Mature flowering lawns with many blooms can take up to 6-24 months to fully establish, especially in thicker grass lawns that have been heavily fertilized in the past.   How To Start Your Flowering Lawn Journey: Prepare: No need to remove existing grass! Simply mow your existing grass very short. Spread: Hand spread the flowering lawn seed evenly, one pinch at a time, over the grass. Water: Water lightly but frequently, ensuring the soil and seedlings don't dry out. Seeding Timing: Dutch White Clover is easy to establish and can be seeded in spring, summer, or fall. For dormant seeding, spread in late fall when the ground is frozen or over fresh snow on a calm day in winter. If seeding in spring, wait until the ground thaws and soil temperatures are around 55 degrees (e.g., Late April to early May for upper mid-west states). Avoid seeding before hot and dry periods, and make sure to prevent soil from completely drying out during germination. Bare Soil Areas: Designed to be over-seeded into existing grass lawn. Increase the seeding rate for bare soil areas. Maintaining Your Flawn: Mowing: Dutch White Clover helps reduce the need for mowing. You can adjust mowing height and frequency to control flowering. Mow off brown flower heads in mid-summer for new blooms in autumn. No Pesticides: Do not use pesticide weed or insect killers. Hand-weed if necessary or desired. Fertilizer: Once established, Dutch White Clover minimizes the need for fertilizer due to its nitrogen-fixing capabilities. Watering: Once established, your flowering lawn won't require watering, except in periods of extended drought.
