DuraVent DuraTech Storm Collar

DuraVent DuraTech Storm Collar Weatherproof your chimney pipe with this aluminum storm collar for DuraTech roof flashing. Key Features Essential for roof flashing installations Aluminum construction resists corrosion Seals chimney pipe at roof penetration Compatible with high-temp sealant Sized for 5"-8" DuraTech chimney systems Product Features Weather-Resistant Roof Penetration Seal The DuraTech Storm Collar is required when installing DuraTech roof flashing to ensure a watertight seal around the chimney pipe. This aluminum collar diverts rainwater away from the pipe-flashing joint, helping to prevent leaks that could damage your roof or attic. Durable Aluminum Construction Manufactured from corrosion-resistant aluminum, this storm collar is built to withstand harsh outdoor conditions and high heat exposure from venting wood-burning appliances. Secure Seal with High-Temperature Sealant To complete the weatherproof seal, apply a non-hardening, high-temperature (rated to 500°F) sealant between the collar and the chimney pipe. This prevents water intrusion while allowing for slight movement during heating and cooling cycles. Fits a Range of Chimney Sizes Designed for use with 5", 6", 7", and 8" DuraTech chimney pipes. Each size accommodates an outer diameter that ensures a snug, reliable fit for your roof venting system. Critical Chimney Component A storm collar is not optional—it's required to ensure a complete and secure venting system when using any DuraVent roof flashing, whether on a pitched or flat roof. It plays a vital role in extending the life of your venting system and your roof.
