Dunlop Iconic Pro AF String

The Dunlop Iconic Pro AF is a premium multifilament squash string specifically engineered for control, precision, and a "connected" feel. The "AF" in the name stands for Ali Farag, the PSA World Number 1, who assisted in the development of this string to meet the demands of the professional tour. While the Iconic Power version focuses on elasticity and pace, the Iconic Pro AF is tuned for tactical players who prioritize shot-making and accuracy. Technical Specifications Construction: High-quality multifilament core with a specialized firm fiber wrap. Material: Premium Polyurethane (PU) bonded fibers for a unique balance of comfort and stiffness. Gauge: 1.18mm (18G). This slightly thicker gauge (compared to the 1.10mm Power version) provides a more stable string bed and increased durability. Length: 10 meters (33 feet) — sufficient for one complete racquet restring. Technology: Developed with Srixon technology, ensuring high-end material consistency. Key Performance Features "Pro" Level Control : This string is designed to be "crisp." Unlike softer strings that can feel "mushy" or unpredictable, the Iconic Pro AF offers a firm response. This allows players to guide the ball into the corners with extreme precision, which is essential for the high-level "holding" game that Ali Farag is known for. Enhanced Durability : By increasing the gauge to 1.18mm and utilizing a denser fiber wrap, Dunlop has created a string that resists fraying and snapping better than ultra-thin power strings. It is designed to withstand the high-intensity impact of professional-level rallies. Tactile Feedback :  The Iconic Pro AF provides excellent "bite" on the ball. This tactile feedback allows the player to feel the ball on the strings longer, providing the confidence needed for delicate nicks, drops, and deceptive flicks. Tension Stability :  One of the standout features of the Pro AF is its ability to hold tension. Multifilament strings often "drop" tension quickly, but the firm construction of this string ensures that the racquet feels consistent over multiple sessions. Best For :  Advanced/Competitive Players: Those who generate their own power and need a string that won't "over-bounce."  The "Ali Farag" Style: Players who focus on movement, rhythm, and placing the ball exactly where they want it. Durability Seekers: Players who want the feel of a premium multifilament but find that thinner strings break too frequently.
