Dump Yod: Krutoy Edition (LP)

Your Old Droog returns with the long-awaited new album Dump YOD: Krutoy Edition, a deeply personal release that places his own history front and center. Expanding beyond the ideas explored on Jewelry, Droog dives even further into his identity and background. “This project is about embracing my Ukrainian and Eastern European roots,” he explains. Executive produced by Mach-Hommy and Tha God Fahim, the album features guest appearances from both collaborators, alongside El-P (Run The Jewels), Black Thought (The Roots), Phonte (Little Brother), and billy woods. Built on stark, stripped-back production, Dump YOD: Krutoy Edition gives Droog ample space to display his incisive pen and sharp narrative ability. Through detailed verses and unfiltered reflections, the Ukraine-born rapper chronicles his experience growing up as a Russian-speaking immigrant in Brooklyn, delivering an album that feels intimate, uncompromising, and profoundly self-defined.
