DS-121 The Keel Bag Digital Pattern

This is a PDF leather pattern to create the Mermaid cross body bag. The Mermaid bag is the Frigate Bag baby sister. More compact in size, it introduces a couple of new things to the design and the build: a leather twist closure and piping that gets tucked in on both ends of its stitch line. The Mermaid is designed for everyday carry and will hold all daily essentials. The opportunities for 2 or even 3 colors combinations are vast especially when the bag is made with the twist closure. For those wanting to skip the twist closure, the download also includes some patterns for the closure flap and front panel that will allow you to use other types of closures - magnets, snap buttons, LOXX type closure etc. Note that there are no specific assembly instructions for such other closures included. I just thought those blank slate patterns will be helpful if one wants to venture into such closure types. Two adjustable strap patterns are included as well - classic buckle-based one and one using a couple of stud buttons as means to adjust the strap length.
