Dropcloth Samplers - Printed Fabric

The sampler arrives preprinted on cotton quilting fabric, ready to stitch and includes basic instructions. You provide your own threads, needles, and hoop. PLEASE NOTE: This item is not embroidered, but ready to be embroidered by YOU. The pictures show one way to fill in the design, but you can choose whatever colors/threads you like. What thread should I use? We use a combination of size 8 perle cotton and/or embroidery floss. Where can I find more embroidery help? I'm so glad you asked! Check out my online workshops on Creativebug. Where can I see other examples of the finished sampler? Instagram! Check out the hashtag #dropclothsamplers for tons of beautiful examples of all our designs, stitched by people like you. I hope you'll add yours to the mix! How should I back my sampler? For best results, I recommend backing this fabric with a second piece of fabric (cotton or linen) before placing your fabric in the hoop. You'll get the flattest, most even stitches this way. Check out my how-to for this step on Creativebug or IGTV (@dropcloth) What size hoops should I use? I like a size 6—but use whatever you hoop you have on hand. About Dropcloth Samplers Dropcloth Samplers is a line of hand-drawn embroidery samplers, printed and ready for you to jump in and start stitching right away. Each pattern is hand-drawn by Rebecca Ringquist in her Portland Studio, and printed for you to embroider with your own color choices and design flair. Like a coloring book page for embroidery, these samplers arrive ready to stitch. Our samplers are printed on high quality quilting cotton and come packaged with directions as well as links to our Creativebug classes. Interested in classes? We can help in three different ways! In addition to our Creativebug classes based on our popular line of samplers, we also offer zoom classes for brick and mortar shops, and occasionally in person classes for the Pacific Northwest....
