DRONES: HOW THEY FLY

Join Raven and Little Bird to learn how drones fly in this 24-page coloring book for children ages 6 to 9. Before they became cartoon characters, these two real-life aircraft were built to show how drones could help firefighters, research scientists and other professionals use drone technology to save lives and make the world a better place. Now, these historic aircraft are embarking on a new mission: teaching children about the first great technological innovation of the 21st century. By learning how drones work and how they fly, young people can begin to prepare for careers that involve this technology and enhance their understanding of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) subjects more generally. In this book, young readers will discover: How to keep safe around drones and the potential hazards that they create. What the different parts of a drone are and how they all work together to make them fly. How drones maneuver, moving up and down and flying in any direction.   Patrick Sherman is a pioneer in the drone industry, with more than a decade of operational experience with uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS).
