DroneBeacon Db120 RemoteID (Remote ID RID) Broadcast Module With Battery

DroneBeacon DB120 Remote ID Broadcast Module – Elevate Safety with Seamless Remote ID Compliance The DroneBeacon db120 is a type of Remote ID transponder that can be directly or broadcasted to remotely identify and track drones. It comes with its own GPS and battery. A transponder is also known as an add-on, tracker, tag, or wireless number plate. You can attach the DroneBeacon to any consumer drone using either the 3M dual-lock tape or M5 screw noses. It meets the standards required in the EU and USA, and it has been approved by the FAA for use in the USA. The transponder is designed to have a long range, thanks to its powerful transmission and antenna design. It supports various transmission protocols for maximum flexibility. If you prefer a transponder that is powered by the drone instead of having its own battery, the db121 or db121pcb would be a better choice. Alternatively, the db122fpv requires an external GPS receiver. To attach the DroneBeacon to your drone, you can use the provided M3 dual-lock stickers or the M5 screw noses. When fully charged, the transponder can last for over 3 hours. There are four battery LEDs that indicate the current battery level. Configuring the transponder is easy. Simply press the configuration button and connect to the dronebeacon Access Point using any device. Maximizing Use Cases: Where the DB120 Makes a Difference Commercial Drone Operations: Perfect for commercial pilots, the DB120 module allows compliance with FAA Remote ID requirements, which are essential for aerial mapping, industrial inspections, and other professional drone uses. Recreational Use: Even hobbyist drone pilots can easily integrate the DB120 into their setup to ensure they're meeting regulatory requirements. Emergency Services: Ideal for law enforcement and first responders using drones for search and rescue or disaster relief, the DB120 helps ensure safe operations with clear identification. Performance Insights: What Makes the DB120 Stand Out Weight: Lightweight design for minimal impact on drone performance. Battery Capacity: Features an integrated battery for uninterrupted Remote ID broadcasting, lasting up to 6 hours on a single charge. Broadcast Range: The module can broadcast up to 2 kilometers, ensuring that your drone remains identifiable from a distance. Power Up Right: Charging Your DB120 for Optimal Performance The DB120 module includes an integrated rechargeable battery. To charge it: Use the included USB-C cable to connect the module to a power source. Charge the module fully before use to ensure maximum broadcast duration. The battery indicator on the module will show when charging is complete, typically within 2 hours. Quick and Easy Setup: Installing the DB120 Remote ID Module Step 1: Mount the DB120 module to your drone using the mounting bracket. Step 2: The module is fixed in a manner such that it will not interfere with your drone while it is in flight with the body of the drone correctly aligned with the module. Step 3: Use the power button to turn on the module with it installed. Smart Operation: Getting the Most Out of Your DB120 Check the indicator light. This should remain steady after activation of the module, so you know it is working at takeoff. Understanding Remote ID: Enhancing Safety and Compliance Remote Identification, also known as Remote ID, refers to a wireless identification system designed to recognize drones in close proximity. It comprises essential details such as the operator's information, the purpose of the drone, and its present location. Notably, both the European Union (EU) and the United States (USA) are developing fresh regulations that require drones weighing over 250 grams to have a mandatory form of Remote ID, either through direct transmission or broadcasting. The information transmitted by drones via Remote ID can be utilized by the general public, law enforcement, as well as other drones, to enhance their awareness of the surrounding airspace. There's the FAA-mandated Remote ID system, which makes drones broadcast all sorts of information, like their serial number and location along with altitude in real-time. It increases airspace safety by granting authorities identification of the drones that are flying. DB120 follows all that and makes it a pretty critical accessory to commercial and recreational drone pilots. Why Buy From DSLRPros?
