Dried Twisted Apricot

Twisted Dried apricots, also known (Chapa-Namak), are primarily grown in Afghanistan. This  specialty food sets itself apart from other dried apricots as it is dried right on the tree. While fresh apricots have a short shelf life and are typically too fragile for export from the remote  regions of Afghanistan, farmers in these regions have expanded their traditional method to turn  the Saqi variety of apricot into a unique dried product called Chapa-Namak, SPECIALTY Apricots for Chapa-Namak are grown in your region of Afghanistan and lovingly handcrafted into dried apricot rolls. FLAVOR The delicious specialty tastes deliciously sweet and has a firm bite but is nevertheless soft in consistency. Naturally sweet with no added sugar.  SPECIAL DRYING In contrast to other dried fruits, apricots for Chapa Namak is dried directly on the tree before they are further processed.
