Drawn Armchair

The &Tradition Drawn Armchair is a timeless icon of Danish design, first introduced in 1956 by design duo Hvidt & Mølgaard. Rooted in traditional craftsmanship, this chair showcases a deep respect for natural materials and honest construction. With its sculpted form and warm, tactile finishes, the Drawn Armchair brings a sense of quiet refinement to any interior. Made from solid wood, the &Tradition Drawn Armchair is available in oiled oak, oiled walnut, or black lacquered oak. Each version highlights the organic beauty of the wood grain while offering durability that stands the test of time. The armrests add comfort and presence, making it ideal for dining rooms, studies, or reading corners. The chair’s handcrafted quality is visible in every detail—from the rounded dowels to the carefully woven seat. For enhanced comfort, a leather cushion is available in either Prescott black or rich cognac. The contrast of soft leather against smooth wood adds an extra layer of sophistication. Elegant yet approachable, the Drawn Armchair reflects the values of mid-century design: simplicity, utility, and beauty. Whether used on its own or as part of a set, it’s a piece that complements modern and classic spaces alike.
