Dragon Head Bamboo- 7 Gallon Container

Fargesia rufa 'Dragon Head'   Growing to a maximum height of 10 feet, the Dragon Head Bamboo (Fargesia rufa 'Dragon Head') is an excellent choice for creating natural privacy screens and windbreaks in residential and commercial landscapes. This cultivar combines rapid growth with a naturally compact, upright form, making it ideal for confined spaces where traditional bamboo varieties may become unwieldy. The Dragon Head variety is prized for its vibrant new shoots, which emerge in bright green before maturing to a deeper, more refined tone. This seasonal color variation adds visual interest throughout the growing season. Its moderate mature height and controlled spread make it suitable for borders, hedgerows, and screening applications without requiring extensive pruning or maintenance. This bamboo thrives in well-draining soil and prefers full sun to partial shade. It is cold-hardy and adaptable to various climates, making it a versatile addition to diverse garden designs. Whether used as a standalone specimen or planted in groups for enhanced screening, Dragon Head Bamboo delivers both aesthetic appeal and practical functionality for years to come.
